Sachet water seller Allegedly killed by police in Rivers State | Photos

Facebook users in Okporo, in Port Harcourt Rivers state, are reporting the tragic death of a teenager who they said was killed by a policeman in the early hours of Saturday, September 30, 2017.

According to reports on Facebook, The policeman shot the boy after accusing him of not observing the general sanitation in the area. The deceased was on his way to supply sachet water when the incident occurred.

According to a Facebook user, Eric Chima, who posted images and videos from the scene, an angry mob threatened to burn down Okporo Police Division following the killing of the teenager.

Another Facebook user, Ann Amake Iloha, who revealed that she was close to the scene where the shooting took place, wrote:

“Happened now live in Okporo Road,1st Artillery. Policeman kills a pure water retailer, in the name of ‘he didn’t observe sanitation. I just tire for this country. We are going to 57 years yet no common sense.”

Ms Iloha added that she was so shocked that she couldn’t even go close to the crime scene.
