Popular Traditionalist Warns Olori Wuraola Over Failed marriage with Ooni of Ife

Ooni of Ife and Olori Wuraola have gone separate ways, their marriage which lasted for 17 months has drawn lot of criticism.

Popular Ifa priest, Yemi Elebuibon warns against the re-marriage of the ex-queen to another man.

The priest who is also a Playwright, Actor and Author recently spoke to the SUN, he revealed that the ex-queen, Olori Wuraola needs to undergo appropriate traditional cleansing process so she can be free to start a normal life back.

The traditionalist said the failed marriage between the  Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and his former wife, Olori Wuraola was not the first to be seen in Yoruba land but it is not common among Obas.

He added: “the wife of the Oba will be asked to consult Ifa and Ifa will give directions on how she will make the necessary atonement for her cleansing.”

“In Yoruba tradition, a woman who has been married to a king cannot lay with any other man even if the marriage breaks up. But when the right atonement have been made, there won’t be problem”

Elebuibon mentioned that the ex-queen may not encounter any problem but her new husband is at risk of encountering a lot of problems if the appropriate cleansing is not done.

He said: “for the woman, she might not really have a problem but for any man who sleeps with a queen or marries an ex-queen without the appropriate cleansing, the man may die prematurely, he may be struck with sickness or there might be retrogression in his life.”

The Ifa priest said to avoid problems in her next marriage, the ex-queen must undergo a cleansing process with the new husband she intends to marry. He added that both of them will take part in the atonement.

He warned: “Any marriage she would be going into must not be elaborate. They should go far away and avoid any flamboyant wedding.”
